A catch-all mailbox is one that gathers all the messages sent to non-existent email addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody misspells it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one mailbox per domain name can have this feature activated and in this way you will never miss emails because the other party has an obsolete address or has made a spelling mistake. The disadvantage of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving a lot of junk emails, but this issue can be fixed using an anti-spam protection solution. It’s also vital to know that a mailbox with an active catch-all functionality cannot redirect inbound messages to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Configuring a catch-all e-mailbox will be very easy if you have a cloud hosting plan with our company. You can enable the feature through our powerful, albeit intuitive Email Manager, which is included in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll manage the web hosting account itself. You will find all the mailboxes that you have set up shown alphabetically and next to each one there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will quickly inform you whether a specific mailbox receives all the email messages associated with a certain domain or not. With a single click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this option whenever you like. In case there is active email forwarding or if some other mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a certain domain name, you’ll receive a warning from our system. The latter won’t deactivate/replace anything automatically or without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all address can be set up with several mouse clicks in case you have a semi-dedicated hosting plan with us. The hosting account will be managed through our custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to set up email addresses using any domain registered here. To enable the catch-all option for a given mailbox, you will need to click the icon with the exact same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address. Disabling this functionality can be done in the same fashion and will not require more than one click either. If the catch-all feature has already been enabled for a specific domain, you will receive a warning notice. The same goes if the mailbox that you want to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never modify or disable anything automatically.
